Who We Are

The FatDog Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the youth of Los Angeles by providing real alternatives to gang life through education, mentorship, and opportunity. Inspired by the late Fat Dog, a well-known figure from the 52nd Broadways, this foundation is led by his family, friends, and community members who believe in his vision of reaching “one youngster at a time.”

Fat Dog understood that many kids join gangs not out of choice, but out of necessity—a search for belonging, guidance, and protection. He once said that he planned to speak to one youngster at a time to show them a different path. His legacy lives on through our foundation as we continue that mission, ensuring that no child feels forced into the streets due to a lack of options.

Our Mission

The FatDog Foundation is committed to breaking the cycle of gang involvement by equipping young people with the tools, resources, and knowledge they need to thrive. We provide:

✅ Financial Literacy & Cryptocurrency Education – Teaching kids how to manage money, invest, and understand digital assets.
✅ Technology & Job Training – Equipping youth with the skills needed for careers in IT, AI, blockchain, and other modern industries.
✅ Mentorship & Community Engagement – Connecting at-risk youth with positive role models who encourage growth and self-sufficiency.
✅ A Safe & Inclusive Space – Creating programs that offer a sense of belonging outside of the streets.

By bridging the gap between the streets and success, we aim to help kids build their futures—not just survive, but thrive.

Why We Exist

Growing up in Los Angeles, many kids are left with limited choices—either join a gang for a sense of community or navigate a world that often overlooks them. We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to succeed, and with the right support, they can rewrite their future.
